30-day tourist visa (single entry)
The most common option for Indian tourists, and the one most Hyderabad files go out on.

30-day / 60-day multiple-entry tourist visa
For itineraries that leave the UAE and come back within the same trip.

5-year multiple-entry tourist visa (self-sponsored)
Not a short-holiday product. No sponsor is needed, but the entry bar is higher — confirm eligibility at the desk.
- Valid 5 years; up to 90 days per visit, extendable; a maximum of 180 days in a calendar year
- Make the first entry within 2 months of issue — extendable by a further 2 months
- Requires a bank statement showing a specified minimum balance maintained over the previous 6 months, health insurance valid in the UAE and a return or onward ticket
48-hour and 96-hour transit visas
For a Dubai stopover on the way somewhere else — only through the airline you are transiting with (Emirates, flydubai, Etihad and others).

HOW IT WORKS
Three stages between you and the stamp.
Send your scans
You send us clear colour scans of your passport's bio-data and last page, a white-background photo, your PAN card, a confirmed return or onward ticket and your hotel booking — or your host's Emirates ID and residence visa copy if you are staying with family. We check the spelling, date of birth and passport number field by field against the passport, because a single-letter mismatch on the permit means a fresh application.
Sponsor files with UAE immigration
Westin Travel lodges the file through its UAE-licensed sponsor partner — or, where it suits your booking better, through the visa service of the airline you fly with. One channel only: applying through two at once creates duplicate applications and can trigger rejection. There are no biometrics and no embassy or VFS visit. Allow 3–5 working days; the UAE weekend is Saturday–Sunday, and Friday afternoons and UAE public holidays such as Eid and National Day add delay.
E-visa by email, stamped on arrival
The entry permit arrives as a PDF by email. Print it and carry it with the same passport you applied on — Indian airlines check it at check-in, verify it against your passport at boarding, and UAE immigration stamps the passport when you land. Before you fly, we check the name, passport number and dates on the permit against your passport and your flights, so you enter within the 60-day validity and the stay clock starts on the right day.

Documents you'll need.
A UAE file is decided on scans — and refused on scans too. Gather these, and our desk checks each one against the sponsoring channel's own specification.
Most UAE refusals begin with a page, not a person: a blurry passport scan, a photo cropped from the passport itself, a surname in a different order on the PAN card, a passport with five months left. UAE immigration does not state a reason for a refusal, and the government fee is not refunded — so the file has to be right the first time.
That reading is our job before it is theirs. Send the documents in this checklist and we build the file to the sponsoring channel's specification — photo size, scan quality, matching fields — so nothing reaches immigration unchecked.
MANDATORY · ALL APPLICANTS
- Indian ordinary passport valid at least 6 months from the date of entry, not handwritten, with at least 2 blank pages recommended — clear colour scans of the front (bio-data) page and last (address) page; some channels now also ask for the cover page
- Recent colour photograph on a plain white background, 35 × 45 mm, neutral expression, face filling 70–80% of the frame, no headgear except religious — a JPEG, typically 300 dpi and under 1 MB, not cropped from another document; the sponsoring channel's sample governs
- PAN card scan — a channel requirement rather than a published UAE government rule, but routinely asked for; confirm at the desk if you hold no PAN
- Confirmed return or onward air ticket — airline channels require the booking to be with them
- Hotel booking confirmation — or, if staying with family or friends, the host's Emirates ID and UAE residence visa copy
- Health insurance valid in the UAE — listed by GDRFA and ICP; airline channels usually bundle it or ask for it, so confirm at the desk
- A recent bank statement where the sponsor asks for one — there is no fixed bank-balance rule for a standard 30/60-day visa, but first-time travellers are asked more often, and ICP asks for a tour programme statement
- Government fee, quoted at the desk — non-refundable if the application is refused
Your passport stays with you. Nothing is submitted physically and nothing is placed in the passport before travel — the permit is a PDF, and the stamp goes in at the UAE airport.
EXTRA DOCUMENTS · BY PROFILE
Children and infants
- Every child, including an infant, needs their own visa
- Child's passport (6+ months), photo on a white background, birth certificate in English or translated, and copies of both parents' passports
- A minor travelling with only one parent or with relatives needs a notarised No Objection Certificate from the non-travelling parent or parents
- Under-18s cannot travel to the UAE alone on a tourist visa
Staying with family or friends
- Your host's Emirates ID and UAE residence visa copy in place of a hotel booking
- A visit sponsored by a relative resident in the UAE uses a different form — tell the desk which route you want
Women travelling alone
There is no published UAE government rule restricting Indian women travelling alone, and marital status is not asked on the tourist visa form.
- Some sponsors have historically applied extra scrutiny to young solo female applicants; if a channel asks for extra documents, such as a family member's NOC, that is the sponsor's discretion — confirm at the desk
Senior citizens
There is no official age cap.

TIMELINES
Working days, not calendar days.
The UAE weekend falls on Saturday and Sunday, and immigration decides on its own clock. Here is how to time the application so the permit is in your inbox before the flight.
- Typical — 3 to 5 working days from complete submission through an airline or agency channel; UAE immigration's own portals quote 48 hours for the visa once the sponsor has filed it
- Realistic range — 1 to 7 working days; express handling of roughly 24–48 hours is offered by some channels, but approval remains at immigration's discretion and cannot be bought
- What slows it down — the Saturday–Sunday UAE weekend, Friday afternoons, and UAE public holidays such as Eid and National Day, none of which count as working days
- When to apply — at least 7–10 days before travel; some airlines suggest about a month ahead — but not so early that the 60-day entry window closes before your trip
VALIDITY VERSUS STAY
- You must enter within 60 days of issue — 30 days for the 48/96-hour transit visas
- The stay clock — 30 or 60 days — starts on the day you enter, not the day the permit is issued
- Do not travel on dates outside the permit's validity, and do not apply so early that it lapses before departure
- Your passport needs at least 6 months of validity on the date of entry — renew it first if it does not
Rules move. The grace period, the extension rules and the visa-on-arrival country list all changed between 2025 and 2026 — confirm current timings at the desk before you book non-refundable travel.
VISA ON ARRIVAL
Fourteen days at the counter — for some Indian passports.
A narrow scheme, often misread. It turns on the second document in your wallet, not on the Indian passport itself.
Indian citizens holding an ordinary passport can obtain a 14-day entry on arrival at any UAE entry point — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah — if they also hold a valid US green card or a residence permit issued by the United States, the United Kingdom, an EU member state, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore or South Korea. Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and Singapore joined the list on 13 February 2025, and the whole list — the United Kingdom explicitly included — was re-confirmed by ICP and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 25 June 2026.
The permit runs 14 days, single entry, and can be extended once for a further 14 days — applied for inside the UAE before the first 14 days expire, through GDRFA Dubai or ICP Smart Services. There is no extension beyond 28 days. A 60-day single-entry, non-extendable variant was also published in June 2026 for residence-permit holders — confirm at the desk whether it is offered to Indian nationals.
You can take it at the immigration counter on landing or apply online before you fly — through ICP Smart Services, GDRFA Dubai's service for Indian citizens with 48-hour processing, or Emirates and VFS if you fly Emirates. Applying in advance is the recommended route: it skips the airport queue and settles eligibility before you leave Hyderabad. A government fee applies to the permit and a separate fee to the one-time extension, both quoted at the desk.
QUALIFYING DOCUMENTS · CARRY THE ORIGINALS
- Original Indian ordinary passport, valid at least 6 months from the date of arrival — diplomatic and official passports are not covered
- Original US green card (permanent resident card), or a residence permit or residence visa from the UK, an EU state or one of the other listed countries — also valid at least 6 months from arrival
- Return or onward ticket, and one colour photograph on a white background if you apply online in advance
Holding only a visitor visa? Earlier UAE statements, Emirates' FAQ and Indian airline pages accept a valid US visitor visa (and UK or EU tourist visas) as a qualifying document. The latest official wording of 25 June 2026 says 'residence permit', and GDRFA Dubai's page lists only the US green card and UK or EU residence visas. If a visitor visa is your only qualifying document, confirm at the desk and apply online before flying rather than relying on the airport counter.
On the UK. Articles in July 2026 claiming UK documents had been dropped from the scheme were not backed by any official source; the 25 June 2026 ICP and MoFA releases and the GDRFA Dubai service page still list the United Kingdom. We treat UK residence permits as valid — and still advise confirming at the desk before relying on it.
Six months, both documents. An expired or soon-to-expire green card, residence permit or visa disqualifies you, even if the passport is fine.
EXTENSIONS & OVERSTAY
Leave on time, or extend before the clock runs out.
Extensions inside the UAE are possible again since December 2025. Grace periods are not something to plan around.
- Extending a 30- or 60-day tourist visa — since the December 2025 ICP overhaul, it can be extended inside the UAE without a 'visa run', one or more times, as long as you apply before the current visa expires and the total stay does not exceed 120 days
- Where to apply — through your original sponsor or an accredited tourism office or typing centre on the ICP or GDRFA system; if Westin Travel arranged the visa, the desk co-ordinates it with the sponsor partner
- Airline-sponsored visas — Emirates and flydubai state their visas are not extendable through the airline; an extension has to be arranged via a UAE-licensed agent or typing centre — confirm at the desk
- Visa on arrival — the 14-day permit can be extended once for 14 days; the 60-day on-arrival variant cannot be extended at all
- If an extension is refused or not possible — exit before expiry; re-entry on a fresh visa is at immigration's discretion
OVERSTAY · WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS
- Leave the UAE on or before the last day of permitted stay shown on the visa, or hold an extension granted before that date
- A per-day overstay fine applies — unified across all visa types and all emirates by ICP from 11 February 2026 — plus an exit-permit fee for longer overstays; the amounts are quoted at the desk
- Fines must be settled on the ICP or GDRFA portal, or at airport immigration, before departure; unpaid fines lead to airport 'technical blocks', future visa refusals or entry bans
- Do not rely on a grace period — the 10-day grace period for pre-arranged visit and tourist visas was discontinued, and fines now start the day after expiry; some reports say visa-on-arrival holders still get a short grace period, so confirm at the desk, and plan to exit before expiry regardless
WHY FILES ARE REFUSED
Twelve reasons a UAE visa comes back refused.
UAE immigration gives no reason and refunds no fee. These are the patterns the desk sees — and screens for — before a file goes out.
- Name spelling or date-of-birth mismatch between passport, PAN card, ticket and application form
- Name similarity with a person on the UAE watchlist — a frequent, unexplained cause for Indian applicants, refused without a stated reason
- A previous overstay, absconding, deportation, unpaid fines, or an uncancelled old UAE residence or employment file from earlier work in the UAE
- A previous UAE visa refusal, or a visa issued earlier that was never used or cancelled properly
- A criminal record or security flag in any country
- Poor-quality, cropped, blurry or incomplete scans; a photo not on a white background, the wrong size, or copied from the passport photo
- A passport with less than 6 months of validity, damaged pages, or a handwritten passport
- Incomplete or inconsistent application data — profession, address, purpose of visit — or missing PAN and supporting documents
- Fake or altered hotel bookings, dummy tickets or manipulated bank statements
- A weak profile — no travel history, an unclear purpose, insufficient funds shown when asked, or a young unmarried applicant travelling alone flagged by the sponsor
- Applying too close to the travel date, or through several channels at once, which creates duplicate applications
- Immigration discretion — approval can be refused without reason, and the government fee is not refunded

Can I get a UAE visa on arrival with my Indian passport?
Only if you hold an ordinary Indian passport plus a valid US green card or a residence permit from the US, UK, an EU country, Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore or South Korea, with both the passport and that document valid for at least 6 months on arrival. Official UAE and airline pages also accept a valid US visitor visa, but the latest June 2026 ICP wording says 'residence permit', so if a visitor visa is your only document, confirm at the desk or pre-apply online before you fly. The permit is for 14 days and can be extended once for 14 more; everyone else needs a pre-arranged e-visa.
How long does a UAE tourist visa take from Hyderabad?
Normally 3 to 5 working days after you submit clear scans of your passport, photo and PAN card; UAE immigration itself quotes 48 hours once the sponsor files it. Weekends (Saturday and Sunday in the UAE) and UAE public holidays are not counted. Some channels offer express handling in roughly 24 to 48 hours, but approval is never guaranteed, so apply at least a week before you fly.
Do I need a sponsor, or can a travel agency arrange the Dubai visa?
You need a sponsor — a UAE tourist visa must be sponsored by a UAE-licensed tourism establishment, so you cannot file a standard 30- or 60-day tourist visa on your own. Westin Travel arranges it through its UAE-licensed sponsor partners, or the airline you fly with (Emirates, Etihad, flydubai, Air Arabia, Air India, IndiGo) sponsors it when you book with them. You do not visit any embassy or VFS office; everything is done on scanned documents.
Is the UAE visa an e-visa or a stamp in my passport?
It is an electronic entry permit (PDF) sent to your email by the sponsoring channel; nothing is stuck in the passport before travel. Print a copy and carry it, because Indian airlines check it at check-in and UAE immigration stamps your passport on arrival. Airlines also verify the visa against your passport details at boarding.
Can I extend my UAE tourist visa if I want to stay longer?
Since December 2025, 30- and 60-day tourist visas can be extended inside the UAE without leaving the country, as long as you apply before the current visa expires and the total stay does not exceed 120 days. The application goes through your original sponsor or an accredited tourism office or typing centre on the ICP or GDRFA system.
