HOLIDAY PACKAGE · HYD → CDG

Europe holiday packages from Hyderabad — Paris, the Alps and Italy.

Three countries, one visa, one unbroken line of rail from the Seine to the Tiber: Paris for the boulevards, the Bernese Oberland for the snow, and Venice, Florence and Rome for everything the Renaissance and the Romans left behind.

BEST APR–JUN, SEP–OCT IDEAL 9–10 NIGHTS FLIGHT ≈ 11–13 H, ONE STOP

AT A GLANCE

The trip, on one ledger.

These shoulder months balance all three countries at once: mild walking weather in Paris and Rome, Alpine cableways running after winter maintenance, and thinner queues than July and August. Autumn adds the grape harvest in France and Italy. Jungfraujoch itself is open year-round.

WHAT THE DESK ARRANGES

Flights, stays, transfers and paperwork — one booking.

Classic Europe is the route most Hyderabad travellers picture when they first say the word Europe: a one-stop flight into Paris, high-speed trains through Switzerland and northern Italy, and a flight home from Rome. Every leg is by rail, so no day is lost to airports between cities.

The itinerary runs south and gets warmer as it goes. Paris and the Alps sit at the cooler end, Rome at the other, which is why late spring and early autumn suit the whole route at once. We build the file for a single Schengen visa and fix train reservations before you leave.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

9–10 nights, day by day.

A starting point, not a fixed route — every departure is reshaped around your dates, pace and travellers before anything is booked.

  1. DAYS 1–2

    Arrive Paris

Land at Charles de Gaulle after a one-stop flight from Hyderabad. Settle in, then walk the Seine from Notre-Dame to the Louvre. On day two, take the Louvre in the morning and end at Trocadéro for the Eiffel Tower at sunset.

  2. DAY 3

    Versailles or Montmartre

A half-day at the Palace of Versailles and its gardens (closed Mondays), or a slower morning in Montmartre around Sacré-Cœur. Evening on the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe.

  3. DAY 4

    Paris to Interlaken by rail

High-speed train from Gare de Lyon to Basel in about three hours, then a direct Swiss InterCity to Interlaken Ost in about two more, past Lake Thun. Evening walk along the Höheweg between the two lakes.

  4. DAY 5

    Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe

Train from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald Terminal, the Eiger Express cableway to Eigergletscher and the Jungfrau Railway to Europe's highest station at 3,454 m. Ice Palace, Sphinx terrace and the Aletsch Glacier. We reserve seats in advance.

  5. DAY 6

    Alps to Venice

Change at Spiez for the EuroCity through the Lötschberg and Simplon tunnels to Milan, then a high-speed train on to Venezia Santa Lucia. Step out of the station straight onto the Grand Canal.

  6. DAY 7

    Venice

Vaporetto Line 1 down the full length of the Grand Canal to San Marco. St Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Rialto Bridge; late afternoon in the quieter lanes of Dorsoduro. Overnight guests are exempt from the day-tripper access fee.

  7. DAYS 8–9

    Florence

High-speed train to Firenze Santa Maria Novella in about two hours. The Duomo and Giotto's bell tower, Ponte Vecchio at dusk, then Michelangelo's David at the Galleria dell'Accademia (closed Mondays) the next morning. Optional afternoon in Pisa or the Chianti hills.

  8. DAY 10

    Rome and departure

Ninety minutes by high-speed train to Roma Termini. Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill on one timed ticket, then the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon before the evening flight home from Fiumicino. Add nights for the Vatican or the Amalfi Coast.

Getting in. A single short-stay Schengen visa covers France, Switzerland and Italy, but it must be lodged with the consulate of your main destination, the country where you spend the most nights, so our Hyderabad desk fixes the night count first, builds the file to that country's checklist and books the VFS Global Joint Schengen Centre appointment in Banjara Hills.

CURRENCYEuro in France and Italy; Swiss franc in Switzerland, where euros are sometimes accepted but change comes back in francs
LANGUAGEFrench in Paris; German in the Bernese Oberland; Italian in Venice, Florence and Rome. English is widely used in hotels, stations and museums.
FLIGHT FROM HYDERABADAbout 11–13 hours one-stop from Hyderabad to Paris via a Gulf or European hub; the return from Rome is similar
  • High-speed trains in France and Italy need a seat reservation even with a rail pass, and passholder seats sell out weeks ahead in peak season; we book every leg before departure.
  • A short-stay Schengen visa allows a maximum of 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across all Schengen countries combined, and entries and exits are recorded under the EU Entry/Exit System.
  • Service is included in restaurant bills in France and Switzerland, and Italian menus may add a coperto cover charge; rounding up or leaving a small amount is customary, not required.
  • Vegetarian and Jain meals are easy to find: Italian menus are naturally vegetarian-friendly, and Paris, Interlaken and Rome all have pure-vegetarian Indian restaurants. Keep passports in the hotel safe and phones out of back pockets around the Eiffel Tower, the Metro, Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum, where pickpockets concentrate.

FAQ

Asked at the desk, answered here.

Do I need three visas for France, Switzerland and Italy?

No. One short-stay Schengen visa covers all three, and Switzerland is a Schengen member even though it is not in the EU. The application goes to the consulate of your main destination, meaning the country where you spend the most nights; if the nights are equal, it goes to the country you enter first. Our desk fixes that count before a single form is filled.

When is the best time to do Paris, Switzerland and Italy together?

April to June and September to October suit the whole route. Rome and Paris are pleasant for walking, the Alpine cableways are running after winter maintenance, and crowds are lighter than in July and August. Jungfraujoch is open in every month, with snow guaranteed at the top.

How many days do three countries really need?

Nine to ten nights is the honest minimum: three in Paris, two in Interlaken, two in Venice and Florence between them, and two in Rome. Every intercity leg is by train and takes two to five hours, so you arrive in the city centre rather than at an airport. Anything shorter means choosing between the Alps and Florence.

Is the pace right for a honeymoon, a family, or older parents?

The rail-based route suits couples well, with one hotel change every two or three nights. For families and senior travellers we usually stretch to twelve nights, drop Versailles, add a rest day in Interlaken, and book hotels close to the station in Florence and Rome so there is less walking with luggage. Jungfraujoch is at 3,454 m, so anyone with heart or breathing conditions should take it slowly and check with their doctor.
