HOLIDAY PACKAGE · HYD → KUL
Malaysia holiday packages from Hyderabad.
Skyscrapers, rainforest and islands in one easy, visa-free holiday, four and a half hours nonstop from Hyderabad.
AT A GLANCE
The trip, on one ledger.
Kuala Lumpur and Genting are warm all year with afternoon showers. The west coast, including Langkawi and Penang, is driest from December to March. The east-coast islands of Perhentian, Redang and Tioman are best from March to October and largely close for the north-east monsoon from November to February.
WHAT THE DESK ARRANGES
Flights, stays, transfers and paperwork — one booking.
Malaysia packs a lot into a short break: the Petronas Twin Towers and Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur, the cool hill resort of Genting Highlands, Penang's heritage streets and the beaches of Langkawi. English is widely spoken and Indian food is everywhere, which makes it one of the easiest first trips abroad for families and parents.
The Westin Travel desk arranges flights from Hyderabad, hotels in the right parts of each city, the Genting cable car and theme park, the Langkawi flight, transfers and insurance, and checks the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card for every traveller before you fly. With visa-free entry for Indians running through Visit Malaysia Year 2026, it is a natural choice for a long weekend or a first family holiday abroad.

An hour's drive into the hills and the Awana SkyWay cable car up through the cloud forest to Genting. A day at Genting SkyWorlds theme park or the indoor attractions, the Chin Swee Caves Temple on the ridge, and a cool night at the resort.
- DAY 4
Fly to Langkawi
Return to Kuala Lumpur for the one-hour flight to Langkawi. Check in at Pantai Cenang, swim, and watch the sunset from the beach bars with the Andaman Sea in front of you.

Getting in. Indian passport holders enter Malaysia visa-free for up to 30 days until 31 December 2026 for tourism, but every traveller must file the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card online within three days before arrival and carry a return ticket and hotel booking, which immigration at KLIA does check; our desk files the card and briefs you on what to carry.
GOOD TO KNOW
Before you pack.
- Plugs: British-style three-pin Type G sockets at 240 V, so carry an adapter.
- Cash and cards: cards and e-wallets are accepted almost everywhere; keep small ringgit notes for hawker stalls, taxis and temple donations.
- Etiquette: cover shoulders and knees at mosques and temples, remove shoes where asked, and use the right hand to give and receive.
- Vegetarian food: easy. South Indian banana-leaf restaurants, Chinese vegetarian stalls and clearly labelled vegetarian menus are everywhere in Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
- Transport: Grab is the standard ride-hailing app; Kuala Lumpur's LRT and MRT are cheap and air-conditioned, and Langkawi is best explored by hired car or taxi.
FAQ
Asked at the desk, answered here.
Do Indian citizens need a visa for Malaysia?
Not for tourism until 31 December 2026: Indian passport holders enter visa-free for up to 30 days. Everyone must file the free Malaysia Digital Arrival Card online within three days before arrival and carry a return ticket, a hotel booking and proof of funds, which immigration at KLIA does ask for. Our desk files the card for each traveller and briefs you on what to carry; if the exemption changes, we tell you before you book.
When is the best time to visit Malaysia from Hyderabad?
December to March for Kuala Lumpur, Genting and the west coast, when Langkawi and Penang are at their driest. March to October is the season for the east-coast islands, which largely close for the monsoon from November to February. Kuala Lumpur itself is warm all year with short afternoon showers, so a city break works in any month.
How many days do I need for Malaysia?
Five to six nights covers Kuala Lumpur, a night at Genting Highlands and two or three nights on Langkawi, with one domestic flight. Three nights works for a Kuala Lumpur and Genting break on a long weekend. With eight nights you can add Penang's George Town or an east-coast island in season.
Is this route better for a family or a honeymoon?
Families gravitate to Genting's theme park, the Batu Caves, KL's aquarium and bird park, and Langkawi's shallow beaches, with connecting rooms and early evenings. Couples usually prefer a resort on Langkawi's quieter Tanjung Rhu or Datai coast, a heritage hotel in Penang or an east-coast island in season. Tell the desk who is travelling and we shape the days accordingly.
